An experienced speaker, columnist and author, White brings awareness to the conditions of Texas’ once lush lands and the responsibility of championing their preservation.
The event will include a book signing and discussion on White’s experiences tracking the dwindling tall grass prairies of Northeast Texas.
“Matt is a champion of preservation,” said Luanne Samuel, executive director of Connemara Conservancy. “We greatly appreciate him taking the time to speak with our members and support Connemara and our cause.”
White is the author of The Birds of Northeast Texas and a regular nature columnist for the Mount Vernon Optic-Herald. He also studies and grows prairie plants on his land near Campbell, Texas.
Though there is no fee to attend, donations are accepted. For more information or to RSVP, please contact rsvp@connemaraconservancy.org or call 214-351-0990.
