Connemara Conservancy Seeks North Texas Students for Youth Council

2 Ratings / 2 Comments

Connemara Conservancy is searching for students who are passionate about nature and the environment to join its Youth Advisory Council.

The council currently consists of 15 members and Connemara is seeking additional students, ages 12 – 22 to get involved and help design programs and develop ideas for educating local North Texas youth on land conservation.

“Young people are such a great source of ideas and energy and we’ve been so fortunate to have a dedicated youth council in place to support Connemara. Now we’re looking to add more amazing North Texas students who love land and want to preserve the natural environment to the group,” said Luanne Samuel, executive director of Connemara Conservancy.

The council currently consists of students who attend:

  • Allen High School

  • Collin College Campuses

  • Ereckson Middle School

  • Greenhill School

  • Hockaday School

  • Lowery Freshman Center

  • Southern Methodist University Earth Sciences Department

  • Vaughn Elementary School

  • The Winston School Yavneh Academy

Any students interested in being a part of the Council are encouraged to visit the Connemara website at www.connemaraconservancy.org or call 214-351-0990 for more information.
