Cost Effective Strategies presented by Green Squared
DALLAS – CREW Dallas (Commercial Real Estate Women) will hear about “Cost Effective Strategies for Greening Existing Buildings” by Andrew Smith and Bobby Bragg, the team from Green Squared, Inc. The open-to-the-public August luncheon is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18 at the Park City Club, 5956 Sherry Lane.
"Bobby and I will present a real life commercial model of a big box retailer that will be discussed as part of our agenda. I think everyone will be excited to see what is being done in the modeling arena to reduce operating costs,” said Smith.Smith is a Principal of Jordan & Skala Engineers, Inc. and Chief Engineering Officer and board member for Green Squared. Bragg is the President of Green Squared and is also on the Board of Directors.
“The timing of this topic is most exciting,” said Jill Warren, President of CREW Dallas and a Vice President of Jackson Shaw. “Greening is such an often-used term. Yet, many people haven’t explored the possibilities, especially the cost options that need to be addressed.”
Smith has more than 16 years of experience in the various aspects of the HVAC industry including mechanical contracting, building equipment retrofit sales and engineering consulting. He has participated in project management, coordination and project design for all property types.
With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama, Smith holds professional registration in 49 different states in the U.S. as well as the District of Columbia.
Bragg is responsible for implementing the company vision. He has a varied background in marketing, business development, financial and accounting management and operations. He has multiple start-up experiences, including with WhiteFence in Houston, and began his career with Arthur Andersen’s Assurance and Business Advisory Practice.
Bragg is a Texas CPA and holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a master’s degree in professional accounting from the University of Texas in Austin.
The cost for the luncheon, sponsored by Behringer Harvard, is $50 for pre-registered guests and $55 for walk-ins. For more information, contact Kim Hopkins at 214/890-6490 or email khopkins@crew-dallas.org.
