Shirley Fine Lee, will be promoting her books at the 10th Annual Southwest Learning Summit on August 17, 2010 in Plano.  Her newest book “T.A.P.P. Steps in Time Management” will be for sale for the first time at this event and will be available soon on Amazon.com.  Readers may recognize the author’s name from her meeting management book R.A!R.A!  A Meeting Wizard's Approach, which was featured in a Coppell/Valley Ranch edition of “Neighbors” when the book was published in 2007. Both her books will be available in the resource center bookstore at this event.

Mrs. Lee was raised in Coppell and has lived in the Lewisville area most of her adult life.  For years, she has helped organizations with meeting facilitation, team building, training, and various other productivity needs.  Besides offering training and consulting, she also is a popular keynote speaker at many professional associations.  Her most popular presentation topics are related to the text in her books.  Two popular topics are “Time Management for the 21st Century” and “Moving Meetings from Boring to Productive.”  Both topics focus on how planning and appropriate action lead to personal or team success.

Shirley Fine Lee's new book “T.A.P.P. Steps in Time Management” is an efficient and much-needed guide for anyone who wants to become better at managing both their personal and professional lives.  It can help with planning work, appointments, and personal time more effectively.  The T.A.P.P. steps stress the key elements of successful time management that have been developed and refined over the years with an up-to-date perspective. The book has explanatory text for fast skill-building as well as diagrams, tables, questionnaires, and many sample forms.

Her first book “R.A!R.A!  A Meeting Wizard's Approach” is a no-nonsense and much-needed guide to planning and conducting meetings to make them productive, effectual, and as smoothly run as possible.  It is organized in a workbook format, which is ideal for busy individuals who wish to learn these essential skills, in the least amount of time.  The writing is straightforward and clear, and the ideas are easy to understand, and well worth implementing.  This book appeals to training and development professionals because it may be used as a self-paced guide or as a training workbook in a classroom or team meeting.  Articles based on the topics in this book have appeared in various magazines including:  “Leadership Service Excellence”, “Journal for Quality and Participation”, “Office Pro”, and “Sales and Service Excellence.”

The annual Southwest Learning Summit and Exposition is sponsored by the Dallas chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).  This all-day long event hosts visitors from all over Texas who are human resource and training professionals. Current registration costs and times for the event are available at http://www.neighborsgo.com/event-detail/18356/1// .  To see details on what will be happening at the 10th Annual Southwest Learning Summit or to learn about the Dallas ASTD chapter, see www.dallasastd.org.  For more information on Shirley Fine Lee or her books, visit her website at www.shirleyfinelee.com.
