Ed2Net Learning (Ed2Net) is pleased to announce its partnership with the Frisco Parks and Recreation Department to provide customized, online math tutoring services for elementary and middle school students beginning in January 2008 at the brand new, state-of-the-art, Frisco Athletic Center.

 “Frisco is the essence of how a town works together to provide valuable services and opportunities to its citizens,” said Rahul Gupta, president and CEO of Ed2Net Learning. “Ed2Net is proud to debut its community-based program to help provide additional personalized education opportunities for the children of Frisco.” The partnership represents a great opportunity for

Frisco families to participate in Ed2Net’s group model tutorial program while utilizing the crown jewel of FriscoPark and Recreation facilities. The program consists of: 

• Fifteen 45-minute small group sessions
• A certified teacher designed curriculum and grade level based content to help students improve academic performance and surpass grade level achievement standards
• Weekday evening and weekend availability

 “The FriscoAthleticCenter allows us to offer more programs and services than ever before,” Rick Wieland, director of Parks and Recreation for Frisco. “The FriscoAthleticCenter provides more space for specialized programming, such as Ed2Net Learning, which specifically targets youth.  In Frisco, catering to families’ needs is a top priority.”    

 As an added benefit to the tutorial program, students participating in the sessions will receive additional Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) practice questions to help them prepare for the mandatory statewide assessment tests administered in April. Following every session, students will receive practice problems, to complete at home, and will be able to access a session summary, additional practice problems and other support materials anytime online following the session.
