My parents went through the same thing. What a hassle. The next week, their water heater exploded and flooded the living room. If it weren't for bad luck, they'd have no luck at all.

That's right! Just turn off all the water faucets and make sure the toilets and water heater are not filling. Now, go check your meter. If the little red triangular shaped dial is turning you have water flow. Hopefully it is not. Good Luck.

What a hoot%$$ The water leak was about 1/8" in diameter and could have filled a swiming pool in a week $$. The copper pipe was silver soldered / welded. No more leak. Did you know the water meter at the curb has a little red triangle dial that turns at the slightest indication of water flow, and can show that one has a leak? I didn't. This leak was so bad one could hear it in the master bathroom 30 feet away!! I suggest you check your meter ... often.
